Leg 1 - 4.2 miles
The first leg of the 2023 RCM Relay enjoys the thrill of the start while winding past Egg Beater Jesus (1st Baptist), the medical district, Blossomwood, and most of Maple Hill Cemetery. This section has a gradual climb of roughly 100 ft.

This route may cross the marathon course, so care should be taken when driving. Allow for enough time to be stopped at intersections. See parking section below for more details.
Route from Exchange Zone 1 to Exchange Zone 2
This route crosses the marathon course at Clinton Ave on California. Please exercise caution and allow enough time to be stopped by runners.
Parking
The marathon route comes up Maple Hill St and then continues on Coleman St. Parking should be along Wells Ave and White St on the west side of California. Please be careful crossing California since traffic is not required to stop.
